Vibration isolation solution for Zeiss sigma500 electron microscope

    2025-08-27 14:44:28 admin

    Background

    User: Harbin Institute of Technology

This research laboratory mainly focuses on water treatment and the field of water films

    Instrument: ZEISS Sigma-500

Field emission scanning electron microscopes for quality imaging and advanced analysis

Vibration isolation solution supplier: Unicon Technology Co., LTD

    + Research institution service provider

+ Table Stable Active vibration isolation system supplier

    Description

The external environment of the laboratory is rather complex. Multiple research rooms are placed side by side on the same floor, with a high density of people and goods coming and going. Within a 10-meter range outside, the pump room and the distance from the elevator shaft to the SEM tube are less than 5 meters. As the horizontal level of the elevator shaft is lower than the laboratory floor and it is a trough frame structure, when the two boxes of the elevator work freely up and down, they will generate significant vibrations, which directly act on the tube of the electron microscope and affect its ability to capture images normally.

The Sigma500 integrates an air cushion inside, providing excellent shock absorption within the frequency range of 25Hz to 40Hz. The main purpose is to slow down the high-frequency mechanical vibrations generated inside the electron microscope, but it cannot eliminate the low-frequency vibrations from the ground.

The active vibration isolation system can perform active shock absorption within the range of 0.7Hz to 200Hz thereby providing a stable environment for the electron microscope and enhancing the quality of the captured images.
